Vice President R&D

Wellspect is seeking a Vice President, Research & Development to lead its global R&D function and drive innovation across a regulated medtech portfolio.

The role is responsible for defining and executing R&D strategy, leading product development from concept through commercialization, and ensuring compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards. The position operates at a global level and includes leadership of cross-functional teams and complex development programs.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead global R&D and innovation activities
• Manage development of medical device products across the full lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements
• Drive efficient and predictable development processes
• Lead and develop a global R&D organization

Requirements:

• Advanced degree/-s in engineering or related field/-s
• Extensive (25+ years) experience in R&D / product development within medtech or regulated industry
• Strong proven experience in development and launch of complex medical device products
• Strong and solid experience in quality systems, regulatory frameworks, and post-market activities
• Demonstrated leadership of large, global and cross-functional organizations

This position requires a highly experienced R&D leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to deliver complex innovation programs and operate at scale in a global organization.
