Assignment Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager

What You Will Work On

• Lead and coordinate the external work package within a large-scale BESS project
• Manage project execution from conceptual design through commissioning and handover
• Coordinate internal and external engineering stakeholders
• Support project governance, reporting, and executive communication
• Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office and senior management
• Oversee project planning, risk management, and milestone tracking
• Manage interactions with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
• Support vendor selection, vendor management, and supplier coordination
• Ensure successful execution of detailed engineering activities
• Coordinate construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
• Monitor project performance, budget, quality, and delivery objectives
• Drive stakeholder alignment across multiple Volvo Group initiatives
• Support executive-level reporting and steering committee activities
• Ensure project objectives align with strategic business goals
• Manage dependencies between the BESS project and related initiatives
• Support project phase-out and operational handover activities

What You Bring

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project or program management
• Proven experience managing utility-scale BESS projects
• Strong understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems and energy infrastructure
• Experience with performance verification and operational readiness of BESS facilities
• Experience working with DSO approval processes
• Strong knowledge of the Swedish energy market and regulatory environment
• Experience leading large-scale engineering, infrastructure, or energy projects
• Proven ability to operate in executive-level stakeholder environments
• Experience managing external vendors, contractors, and engineering partners
• Strong understanding of EPC, procurement, construction, and commissioning processes
• Experience with risk management and project governance frameworks
• Ability to manage strategic projects with significant business impact
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within complex matrix organizations
• Ability to bridge technical, commercial, and organizational perspectives
