About the Role

You will help strengthen financial crime prevention in a complex financial environment by building cloud-native applications that support fraud detection, anti-money laundering, sanctions screening, and related capabilities. The role spans the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and implementation to deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with architecture, security, compliance, and business stakeholders to turn demanding requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems. The environment combines modern engineering practices with high expectations on operational excellence, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

• You design, build, and improve cloud-native applications for financial crime prevention.
• You develop backend services in Java using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, with a strong focus on microservice architecture.
• You create modern frontend solutions in React and TypeScript.
• You build and operate containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes.
• You design event-driven solutions with Apache Kafka and integrate services through RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations.
• You use Redis and similar in-memory platforms to support high-performance, low-latency workloads.
• You contribute across CI/CD, testing, code reviews, DevSecOps, and secure software development practices.
• You work with operations, incident, problem, change, and service management in line with ITIL processes.
• You identify where Generative AI, AI agents, and related orchestration patterns can improve automation, developer productivity, and fraud detection while staying aligned with security and governance requirements.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Java development using modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Proven experience designing and developing microservice-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with frontend development using React and TypeScript.
• Experience developing and operating containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, including event-driven architectures, producers, consumers, Kafka Connect, topics, and partitions.
• Experience with Redis and other in-memory data platforms for high-performance, low-latency applications.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with enterprise systems.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of automated testing, code reviews, and DevSecOps.
• Experience implementing solutions in highly regulated environments with strong security and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management.
• Experience applying Secure Software Development Lifecycle principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of AI-enabled applications, including machine learning integrations, Generative AI services, Agentic AI frameworks, LLMs, RAG, tool or function calling, and secure AI integration in enterprise environments.
• Good understanding of IT risk management frameworks, security controls, audit requirements, AI governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Good knowledge of English and Swedish.

• Experience within banking or financial services.
• Experience developing high-volume, low-latency transaction processing systems.
• Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in agile product teams.
• Experience building AI-powered applications using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as GitOps and modern deployment practices.
