Your roleAs a Quality & Safety Specialist, you will play a central role in developing, maintaining, and improving our Quality and Safety Management System in the development of Air Traffic Management (ATM) equipment and solutions. The role combines quality assurance, safety assurance, and compliance, with a strong focus on ensuring that both processes and deliverables meet defined standards, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations. You will contribute to building robust, efficient, and well-governed ways of working, ensuring that quality and safety are systematically integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
Working in a highly regulated environment, you will support compliance with applicable standards, acting as a key contributor within assurance, audits, and continuous improvement activities. The position requires a structured and analytical mindset, with the ability to influence teams and strengthen a culture where quality and safety are embedded in everyday operations.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously developing the organization's Quality and Safety Management System, ensuring it remains effective, compliant, and aligned with applicable regulations. A key aspect of the role is to safeguard and improve the quality of both processes and deliverables, ensuring that defined standards are implemented consistently across the organization.
You will plan and perform internal audits and assurance activities, not only to verify compliance but also to identify improvement opportunities and strengthen process maturity. This includes driving follow-up actions and ensuring that corrective and preventive measures are effectively implemented and embedded in ways of working. Working closely with engineering and project teams, you will support safety assessments, hazard identification, and risk analysis, while also ensuring that quality requirements are clearly defined, understood, and integrated throughout the development lifecycle. You will contribute to safety case activities and ensure that relevant quality and compliance evidence is properly established, structured, and maintained.
The role also includes driving root cause analysis with a focus on both safety and quality-related deviations, monitoring and reporting on performance, and supporting the continuous improvement of processes, methods, and documentation. Through your work, you will help strengthen a culture where quality and safety are integral to decision-making, ensuring robust, reliable, and compliant air traffic management product solutions.
Your profileExperience:
Experience working in quality, safety, or assurance roles within regulated environments
Background in aviation, ATM, or safety-critical systems is advantageous
Experience with audits, management systems, or safety assurance activities
Familiarity with safety assessment processes or safety cases is beneficial
Required skills:
Good understanding of safety assurance and risk management principles
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage documentation and work in a process-driven environment
Fluent in English
The location is flexible between Gothenburg, Växjö, and Apeldoorn. Travel between these locations may also be required.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
