Role Summary

As a Purchasing Team Leader, you will play a key role in driving and developing how purchasing is performed within Scania IM. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact—both strategically and operationally—while contributing to a more efficient, competitive, and sustainable business. In this role, you will be team lead for Scania IM:s purchasing activities which includes coordination the work for the existing purchasing coordinator. You’ll be at the center of collaboration, working closely with business stakeholders and central purchasing to ensure we deliver high value, cost-efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sourcing and purchasing activities from a need to final agreement
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, tender processes and negotiations
  • Follow up on supplier performance, agreements and cost development
  • Ensure that central purchasing strategies meet Scania IM's local business needs
  • Prioritise and coordinate purchasing initiatives for Scania IM
  • Continuously analyze Scania IM's purchases in order to identify possible cost savings
  • Ensure that Scania IM's organisation has the knowledge and prerequisites to act in line with overall purchasing-related policies
  • Advise, support, and train managers and employees on purchasing matters

Who You Are

  • Experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing, or commercial roles within a complex business environment, supported by relevant higher education
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Goal-oriented team player with a strong drive to deliver results and create real impact
  • Structured, curious and comfortable taking ownership in a self-driven role
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally
  • Confident in challenging existing ways of working to drive continuous improvement while achieving results together with others
  • Analytical and business-oriented, with a data-driven mindset, high integrity, and strong determination

This Is Us

You will report to the CFO of Scania IM and will be part of a high-performing team consisting of 3 business controllers and 1 purchasing coordinator.
