Mason / Formworker

We are looking for Masons / Formworkers for a construction project in Boden, Sweden.

Contract and package

• Contract: 10 months, with possible extension
• Accommodation: Provided on site
• Flights: Covered
• PPE / EPI: Covered
• Salary: Hourly wage, based on hours worked

Role

The Mason / Formworker will work under the responsibility of the Team Leader and will carry out masonry and construction tasks according to site instructions, safety rules and quality requirements.

Main tasks

• Erect supporting structures such as scaffolding, shoring and platforms.
• Excavate and level foundations.
• Build walls, facades and partitions using bricks, concrete blocks, plasterboard or similar materials.
• Install and seal prefabricated elements such as reveals, lintels, cornices and stairs.
• Prepare and apply mortars, coatings and related materials.
• Make, finish and smooth joints.
• Follow health, safety, quality and environmental rules on site.
• Keep the workstation clean and organized.
• Report any issues, defects or dangerous situations.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in traditional masonry is required.
• CAP Traditional Masonry or equivalent qualification is desirable.
• CACES Manitou or aerial work platform training is desirable.
• Experience with masonry, mortar, blocks, walls, foundations or similar construction works.
• Good awareness of safety and PPE rules.
• Basic English or French is required.
