Assignment Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend solutions. You will work with modern data technologies, improve existing data solutions, and support colleagues with technical expertise. The role suits someone who takes ownership, works independently, and enjoys collaborating in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Work On

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Spark and Flink.
• Develop and improve data solutions used across the team.
• Build scalable backend APIs to provide access to data.
• Support colleagues with data engineering and programming challenges.
• Contribute to technical improvements and new initiatives.
• Collaborate with the team to develop reliable and scalable solutions.

What You Bring

• Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong Python skills and proficiency in Java or Scala.
• Solid backend development experience, such as Scala Play or an equivalent framework.
• Strong general programming and problem-solving skills.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a master's degree is an advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work on-site at the client's Malmö office three days per week.
• A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to take ownership of your work.

Meritorious

• Experience with Spark, Flink, or other big data technologies.
• Knowledge of Iceberg, Snowflake, Kafka, or Akka.
• Experience with microservices running on Kubernetes.
• Experience with visualization tools such as Grafana.
• Interest in or hands-on experience with Machine Learning.
• A master's degree in a relevant field.
